The Muller EXC band saw blade has an alloyed steel backing with high chromium content together with a HSS-M51 cutting edge. Due to the cobalt and tungsten content of the cutting tips, the blade has high thermal and mechanical wear resistance.

The hook tooth has a positive cutting angle of 10°. This tooth form is particularly suitable for cutting solid, thick-walled tubes and all higher-grade alloy material.
